When you're scheduling your appointment, it is important to know the differences between 2D, 3D, 4D, and HD Live ultrasounds. Don't get too stressed, AuBaby will guide you through the whole process so that you know exactly what you're going to get. But in case you are curious, here is a quick "cheat sheet" to let you know what all these terms mean.

2D is the black and white traditional ultrasound used for diagnostic scans in your physician’s office.

3D is a still golden volume rendering of baby’s face and body.

4D is a 3D ultrasound in motion (video). Sometimes during 4D ultrasounds we get lucky and see baby smile, yawn, wave, or a number of cute things.

HD live is the latest 3D/4D ultrasound technology that shows skin tone and light to create a realistic image of baby. You can see details like the baby’s eyes open, hair, and things that aren’t visible on other ultrasounds.
